  • Health Care: Ellenville Community Hospital offers a full range of emergency, inpatient and outpatient services: over 50 physicians are affiliated. The volunteer Ellenville First Aid Squad networks with other area emergency services, both volunteer and commercial.
  • Religion: Both denominational and independent Christian churches and several synagogues offer a wide variety of services and activities. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.
  • Accommodations: A range of resort hotels, motels, campgrounds and bungalow colonies offer short and long term accommodations to suit all budgets and needs.
  • Bus Transportation: Public transportation is provided by Short Line to New York City, Ulster County Rural Transportation (UCRT) provides county wide local bus service.
  • Air Travel: The Town of Wawarsing has an excellent airport, equipped with modern communication and navigation systems to accommodate private and commercial traffic. Stewart Airport in Newburgh is within an hour's drive for those utilizing the services of some of the major airlines.
  • Communication: 
    • Channel 20 is a public Access TV station in the Time Warner Cable Network. It is operated by the Ellenville Central School's TV Writing and Broadcasting Club. One local weekly newspaper and two area dailies provide local, area and national news.
    • WELV is a low power radio station operating 24 hours a day 7 days a week from the Ellenville Central School District serving the Ellenville-Wawarsing area.
