Ellenville Central School District
Ellenville is served by Ellenville Central School,
a grades Pre-K to12 school. Many students continue
their education at SUNY Ulster,a two-year community college located roughly 20 miles north of the village in Stone Ridge.
Ellenville Elementary School
Ellenville Elementary School educates children from kindergarten to fourthgrade in the Ellenville Central School District. It is located off the end of Yankee Place in the village, next to the district's middle and high schools. The 21,000-square foot building was finished in 1996 as part of a districtwide project to consolidate all three schools into one small area.
Ellenville Middle School
Ellenville Middle School educates students in grades 5 through 8. It is located between the district's elementary and high schools behind the district offices off Maple Street in the village. Like the other two buildings, it was rebuilt in 1996. A 69,500-square foot addition was built at that time. It is connected to the high school via an enclosed walkway from the southwestern corner. All students in the school are assigned to one of three "academies" within it, for all grades: Lincoln, Jefferson or Washington.
Ellenville High School
Ellenville High School is a co-ed high school. The building was renovated in 1996 and features a highly advanced distance learning classroom, as well as a state-of-the-art digital securitysystem.
It also was one of the first fifteen participants in a statewide anti-school violence program.
